Lion Brand Yarn "Vanna's Colors" Review & Giveaway!! Ends 8/31/11

  I have been given a wonderful opportunity to review a new line from Lion Brand Yarn.

  I had to VERY quickly snap a picture of the three yarns that came in the mail, because my daughter could hardly contain her excitement for starting a new project.  I bet you can pick out which one is her favorite, seeing as the wrapper lasted about two seconds after opening the box! :)

 The newest line is called, "Vanna's Colors."

   This yarn is absolutely luxurious! I have to admit, I was just as excited as my daughter once I laid my eyes on this yarn.  It is so soft and inviting. The colors are so vibrant, with just the perfect amount of speckled contrasting colors entwined within. (It's hard to see in my photo, but the Sandstorm has specks of pink within the beige.) Speaking of colors, it was sooooo hard to pick the colors I wanted to review, because they are all just beautiful.  

  They are available in 6 amazing colors: Driftwood, Sandstorm, Pine, Marina, Topaz, and Violets

            Weight Category 5 (Bulky: Chunky, Craft, Rug Yarn)

            Product Care:  

Items made from this yarn may be laundered through the use of hottest available water, detergent or soap, agitation, and a machine designed for this purpose. Any dry cleaning solvent other than trichloroethylene may be safely used. No bleach product may be used. A machine dryer may be regularly used at the hottest available temperature setting. Item may not be smoothed or finished with an iron.

 I can't wait to make something with it!  I'm still trying to decide what I want to make with mine.  There are so many great patterns to choose from right on the Lion Brand website.  My daughter is more of a freestyle crocheter.  She has already decided to make her Marina into a scarf with a simple half double crochet pattern.

  Me....I like to follow patterns, so I scour my choices until I find the perfect match.  We will be posting our final creations once they are both completed.  We are already planning a trip to the craft store to buy more of this yarn.  We love it that much!  My daughter is already ooohhh'ing and awwww'ing over the soft, wonderfulness that is taking shape and wishing for cold weather. :)
