Hi all,
I just had to share with you the projects my DD and I made with our Lion Brand Yarn we received for review. I used my Vanna's Colors-Violet for this "Crosshatch Cowl" that I found on Crochet Pattern Central. The picture really doesn't do this pattern justice! I am definitely not a photographer, and probably should whip out the nicer camera instead of my mobile phone. :)
This pattern was a lot of fun to work on. I just love the scalloped edge and I can't say enough about the yarn. It is soooo soft, fluffy, and easy to work with. Just pure luxuriousness as my DD would say! :) I can't wait for the cooler temperatures so that I can wear it.
My daughter took her Vanna's Colors-Marina and made a scarf. She decided she just wanted to do a simple half double crochet this time. She too looks forward to some nice cold days to wear our handmade softies! She enjoyed this yarn very much as well! I think we both are going to hint around for some this Christmas! ;)
So, what have you been crocheting? I'd love to know! :)
Happy Crocheting!
Jennifer

Your daughter did a great job on that scarf! I really need you to move a little closer so you can teach my daughters how to crochet! ;)
Both are beautiful!!! I wish I knew how to crochet better, I need to practice. I can't find my hand loom right now, so I haven't done a thing with my yarn winnings, except look at it on my shelf. Thanks for sharing, have a great second half of the week...
I love that cowl--and it's in my favorite color!!! I'm such a fan of Lion Brand yarn and their patterns. You both did a great job!
Take care.
Tracey,
Awww! Thank you Tracey! I know, I wish we lived closer too, I think our girls would get along like peas and carrots. :)

Lori,
Thank you! I just love the craft. I'm hoping to start some more advanced projects soon. :)

Stacie,
Thanks! Purple is my favorite color too. ;)

I love the colors and the pattern choices worked so well with the yarn. I'm glad I learned now, but I do wish I had learned as a child. I am working on encouraging the younger members of the family to try.
Thanks Bailey! I'm glad my daughter is learning now too.
Thanks for stopping by!
