Kroger/Publix shopping trips!

Hello everybody!
  I thought I would share with you my two grocery store shopping trips.  I'll start off with the Publix trip.  This time I'm going to list them the way I make my list, so you can see the deals broken down in more detail.  Let me know what you think. :)

M=Manufacturer
Q=Coupon
D=Doubled
MM=Money Maker

-Here are my no Q's items Grrr!  Just had to have them.  These really put a dent in my savings total!
-2 Oscar Meyer lunchmeats 2/$5
-1 Frito Scoops $3.99
-1 Wavy Lays $3.99
-1 Aunt Jemima syrup $3.69
-2 Publix brand Pasta $1.15 ea.= $2.30
-1 Publix brand Frosted Flakes $1.99

*Note: The 2/$x.xx (or there version of B1G1, they each ring up half price), ring up as the first item is half, and the second item is one penny less.  For example, the Toaster Strudels ring, 1st at $1.10, and 2nd at $1.09.  I just figure the highest of the two, instead of writing them both out.  Am I making this too confusing?  Just let me know if you need further explanation. :)

-2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel 2 for $2.19 so, $1.10 x 2 = $2.20 - $.50/2 MQD = $1.20 = $.60 ea.

-1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal Variety Pack $3.89- $1 MQ= $2.89 (this was a deal where buy brand name, get the Publix brand free)
-1 Publix brand Instant Oatmeal Variety Pack $1.89 - $1.89 =Free

-2 Betty Crocker Cookie Mix 2/$2.67 so, $1.34 (x2) =$2.68 - $.40 MQD (x2) =$1.08 =$.54 ea.

-2 Mahatma Valencia Rice $.99 (x2) = $1.98 - $.50 MQD (x2) = .02 MM

-2 Pam Cooking Spray 2/$3.29 so, $1.65 (x2) = $3.30 - $.35 MQD (x2) = $1.90 = $.95 ea.

-2 Barilla Pasta sauce 2/$2.69 so,  $1.35 (x2) = $2.70 - $.75 MQ (x2) = $1.20 = $.60 ea.

So Total before sales, and coupons: $51.86
Total after sales and coupons: $30.68, so a savings of $21.89

Not my best trip, since I had to buy so many items that were not on sale, and without coupons.  I hate it when I have to do that! :)

Now onto my Kroger trip.  I lost my receipt, so I don't have some of the information, but you'll get the idea.
-3 Hungry Man dinners $2.99 ea.
-1 Kroger wheat bread $.99

-6 Libby's canned vegetables 2/$1 so, $.50 (x6) = $3 - $1/3 MQ (x2) = $1 = $.17 ea.

-1 Kid cuisine meal $1.50 - $.50 MQD = $.50

-Free Swiffer duster handle, w/ 3 refills (I won this on the Summer Savings Event they had going on not too long ago)

-Free Fiji 1L water (another Summer Savings win)

-Free Quaker Instant Oatmeal (Cart buster winner event they have going on right now, you can get to it here)

Total: $11.75 Sorry, I wish I had the subtotal, but 13 items for $11.75 is pretty good!  Works out to an average of $.90 ea. :)

Check back soon for my drugstore trips! ;) Thanks for stopping by!

Take care,
Jennifer
