Do you swish and swipe?

Hi all,
This is a repeat post for some of you, but I thought it was worth mentioning again.  This is a cleaning tip that I have begun to really appreciate.

Some of you may have read a previous post about Flylady.  You should check it out, if you haven't already!  One of the cleaning tips/habits suggested that I just love, is Swish and Swipe.  Swish and Swipe is meant to be part of your morning routine when you get up and get dressed.  Basically you swish and swipe your toilet daily.  At first I thought....What? Everyday?, but I gave it a try, and it's so easy!  It literally just takes less than a minute to take your toilet brush, and swish around, then wipe down the top, handle, tank, and seats.

Another tip shared on the Flylady site to help with this, is if you have one of those toilet brushes that stay in a container like I do, just squirt some toilet cleaner, shampoo, or body wash in it, add some water, and keep it in there for easy fresh swishing.  Just put fresh in it as needed.

Also, keep some wipes (Lysol, or for you coupon savvy folks that have tons of free baby wipes), under your sink for the quick wipe down of the seats.  This is a quick simple habit that makes a huge difference!

Are you already a flylady?  What is your favorite habit?  Do you have some great housekeeping tip you would like to share?  I would love to hear about it!

Take care,
Jennifer

Great reminder! Having sons, the toilet cleaning is a continual "frustration" here. I am going to purchase a brussh set that I can keep fresh "swishing" water in. Thank you!!

My kids have the honor of Swishing and Swiping! And since there are five toilets and five kids, they never have to fight over the opportunity. Aren't I a fabulous mom? ;)

Hello Jennifer,
This is another great post. I really like the idea of keeping baby wipes to clean the seat! My babies are all grown but I still use old cloth nappies for chores, and wonder what the neighbours think when they see them drying on the line. Now I'll stock up on baby wipes too lol !! I was blessed by your comment today -thank you so much for following. I hope you have a wonderful day :-) God bless..Trish

Great tip!! Hmmm... 3 bathrooms, I think I'll try to incorporate my boys into assisting with the first toilet they use in the morning. HAH!!
